This 1963 Sports Roadster is owned by Ross and Lorraine Reed of Olathe, KS. It was spotted by Lorraine from a train window in 1974 while the train made a stop in Granby, CO. Some weeks later, Jim Reed, their son, while on a business trip to Colorado traced it to an open field some miles removed from its previous location. He purchased it for $65. (This is not a mis-print!) $65.00. Two months later Ross towed it back to Kansas where it sat for many years before the restoration began in the late 1980's. It was driven to a VTCI Regional in Minneapolis in 1993 and to Indianapolis for another VTCI Regional in 1995. It made the trip to Indianapolis again in 1999 and to Minneapolis in August of 2003 for another VTCI Regional where it was crowned Best of Show.
